Caernarfon is a town and port in Gwynedd, Wales, known for its long association with Royalty, dating back to Tudor days. It is situated on the banks of the Menai Strait facing Anglesey and is near to Bangor, Brynsiencyn, Caeathro and Llanedwen and is one of around a hundred towns and villages in Gwynedd in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The nearest main cities are Bangor (population 15,280), Newport (population 116,143), and Swansea (which has a population of 169,880 according to the 2001 Census).
